The Devil Will Not Rule My Life and My Family

"Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." — James 4:7 (NIV)

 

Word

The devil seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but through Christ, we have authority to stand firm against his schemes. When we submit ourselves to God and walk in obedience to His Word, we are empowered to overcome the enemy’s attempts to rule our lives and families.

It's important to recognize that battles are often fought in the spiritual realm before they manifest in the physical. Standing in faith, speaking life-giving words, and resisting temptation are key strategies to defeat the enemy. Don’t give room to fear, anxiety, or disobedience. Instead, let your heart be anchored in the truth of God’s Word, which declares that victory is already ours in Christ.

 

Prayer of the Day

Heavenly Father, I come before You today with a heart full of gratitude for the authority You’ve given me in Christ. I declare that the devil will not rule my life or my family. I submit myself fully to You, Lord, and I ask for Your protection over every member of my household.

Break every chain of oppression, doubt, sickness, and fear. Help me to walk in boldness and victory, knowing that You fight my battles. I plead the blood of Jesus over my family, home, and future. Thank You for the assurance that when I resist the devil, he flees. In Jesus’ mighty name, I pray. Amen.
