Ministering to God happens at different levels. One way is by noticing those who are in need and responding with love. Some needs are practical—sharing clothes, shoes, or food with others in the church and in the community. The Bible says, “Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and He will reward them for what they have done” (Proverbs 19:17). You don’t need to wait for a voice from heaven to help; showing kindness is already godly and pleasing to Him. Be generous and compassionate. If you drive, offer a ride to someone going in your direction—you lose nothing by helping, but “your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you openly” (Matthew 6:4).
